Introduction
If you're a keen clipart collector, you might find your ever-increasing stock of picture files getting hard to manage - so a clipart organizer is the perfect answer. The most recommended would be 'Picasa' - free software available from Google. Picasa is a photo organizer and editor, but for clipart purposes, some of the best reasons to download Picasa are as follows

Organize and Recover
All pictures on your computer, even ones you've mis-filed or forgotten about, are found and organized - it's a really nice surprise to find pictures you forgot you had!
Tags for Quick Finding
Easily find pictures later by using 'tags' or keywords with each image - e.g. tag all your festive clipart as 'Christmas' and when you need to see what kind of holiday clipart you have, just type 'Christmas' into the search box and you will be presented with all your Christmas clipart!
Color search
You know the piece of clipart you want, but can't remember where it is or you didn't tag it...but you 'do' know it's a blue forget-me-not...search by the color 'blue' and Picasa will show you all the blue pictures you have!
Basic editing
Basic functions like re-size and cut etc, but if necessary you can even re-colour some kinds of clip art image, or turn them into sepia or black and white if you prefer
Best Printing
Fewer printing problems because Picasa will tell you whether the quality is any good at the size you want to print at
Filtered B&W
Picasa can simulate the effect of adding a colored lens filter to the camera as the picture was taken. Filters allow you to allow/prevent certain colors from reaching the film. Picasa shows a number of standard filters, and allows you to custom select a filter from a wide range of tones. From the full color image select “Filtered B&W” then click “Pick a color” And select one of the swatches from the top, or from the color chart that appears.
Focal black and white, or a “Cutout”
Picasa allows you to select just a portion of your image to remain in full color. Sometimes this is referred to a “Cutout” in Photoshop terms. In this case, you can choose a circular cutout, with a hard-or soft (called a feathered” edge.)
Desaturation
Desaturation is another way to get the same effect as the plan b&w filter. Often you’ll see Photoshop tutorials that tell you to desaturate a picture rather than to convert to gray scale so that you can retain the color information, just not show it.
